P.S. - Prayer and Songs at Lakeside

Every Sunday at Lakeside, we take time to worship Jesus by singing together and praising His name with our voices loud. We sing, we shout, we holler, and we cheer in the name of Jesus Christ. Join us on Thursday night, November 8th as we set aside time for worship in music and communion.

We will be singing songs familiar at Lakeside as well as a few new ones but one thing is for sure - it’s going to be fun. Music is such a special and unique tool God has given us to encourage one another, to bless one another, and to express the desires of our heart. The themes of the night we will explore are Life, Death, and New Life.

LIFE: Praising God for the Life he has given all of creation.
DEATH: Remember the sacrifice Jesus paid for our sin.
NEW LIFE: Celebrating the redemptive work of Christ in our lives and recognizing all of the beauty, joy, hope, peace, and love that comes with it.

We look forward to seeing you there! Hearing the sanctuary full of voices raised to God is an amazing encouragement and an amazing light to the community around us.

Lakeside Family Hike | The Ape Caves

Deep below the smolder hulk of a mountain called St. Helens lies a series of ancient lava tunnels. Discovered in the early 1900’s these tunnels remain a dark and silent mystery for many. Named the Ape Caves by regional Mountaineering Groups (thought to be connected to the elusive Sasquatch) in the 1950’s; it is an exciting journey into a subterranean world many have never seen before. Be one of the few, the brave and intrepid who can say they have explored Washington State’s Ape Caves!

Monday - you'll tell your friends at work or school - "I hiked through a lava tunnel under Mt. St. Helens; what did you do?"

This is a fun hike (2.8 miles round trip on fairly level terrain) and suitable for adults and older elementary age children. This hike affords lots of opportunity to visit and get to know one another. Invite friends from work, neighborhood or school.

You'll need: A warm coat, good shoes/boots, flashlight or headlamp, snacks and sack lunch.

Meeting at Lakeside at 8:00 am to take the van and carpool down to Mt. St. Helens. This hike is all underground - so we will go rain or shine. Will be back in Kirkland by 5:00 pm.
