Vince Armfield
Senior Pastor
Vince Armfield is a graduate of Corbin University Graduate School of Ministry with a Master of Divinity. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force’s Security Forces, has been to Israel and done short-term mission work in Seattle, Everett, Utah, New Mexico, England, India and the Dominican Republic. He also serves the city of Kirkland as a Fire/Police Chaplain. Together Vince and Janis have 3 grown children, 2 daughters in-law, and 6 beautiful grandchildren - 5 granddaughters and 1 grandson. Also 1 very resilient aquatic frog named Barney.
Alexander Mack
Worship & Youth Director
Alex is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University Galveston, and holds a Master’s in Teaching from Central Washington University. He is a veteran of the United States Army and first came to Lakeside as a member of the congregation in 2021.
After a short stint living in Texas, he returned to join the Lakeside team full-time in 2024. After living in several states, he still says that the Pacific Northwest has the best weather anywhere. He loves helping set young people up for success in tackling life’s challenges, worshipping God, enjoying the beautiful climate and geography of the PNW, and the works of J.R.R. Tolkien.
Alex has been married to his wife, Rose, since 2018, and they have a lovely daughter and an exceptionally talkative cat named Buddy.
Becky Berkompas Children’s Director
Becky is a graduate of Calvin College with a degree in therapeutic recreation, and began her career working in the field of geriatric psychiatry. During that time, she volunteered with women and children at her church through MOPS, Women's Bible Study, and AWANA club. As well as volunteering as an Art Docent, teaching art at her children's elementary school. Through that time God grew her gifts and developed a passion for working with kids.In 2016 she had the opportunity to begin teaching preschool and continues there today. Her love for kids and desire to see them grow in faith is what led her to join Lakeside as the children’s director.
Becky has been married to Bryan since 1999 and together they have 3 wonderful children. She loves spending time with family, exploring new places, especially if they involve a beach, and of course being from Chicago, she loves pizza!
Teena Christman
Administrative Director
Teena is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in business and management. She brings her previous work experience in finance and small business administration to the Lakeside team. Over the years she has had the opportunity to serve the Lord both in the United States as well as overseas. She has lived in multiple states, and even a few different countries and has a heart for people everywhere.
Growing up in Washington State Teena has a love for all thing outdoors, and a passion for the Lord. With a never-ending smile, calendars everywhere, and a love for people, she has a can do (all things through Christ) attitude.
Teena and her husband, Calvin, are the parents of two rambunctious Siamese cats. In her spare time she enjoys, lifting, hiking, and reading.
